发布时间:2026-09-12 | 浏览:1
Apple has finally debuted its latest iPhone 18 Pro series during its annual September launch event. Alongside the new iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, it also finally unveiled its Apple Duo, the company’s first foldable iPhone.
Breaking the standard launch cycle this year, Apple isn’t launching the standard iPhone 18. It will launch in early 2027 alongside the iPhone 18e and the iPhone 18 Air 2.
For months, we have been tracking every detail about the current iPhone 18 series, and here we are, finally, with all the official details from Apple. If you have been following us, pretty much every detail is accurate. This year, the iPhone 18 Pro series comes with five major changes.
Table of Contents
New smaller Dynamic Island
Apart from the smaller Dynamic Island on the front, everything, including the dimensions of the iPhone 18 Pro, is very similar to the iPhone 17 Pro series . On the front, you now get a smaller Dynamic Island, which accommodates three live activities compared to two on the previous iPhone 17 series. Apple saved space by moving the infrared camera underneath the display, making the bar look smaller, and there are no compromises in terms of Face ID. Everything is similar to what you can find on the iPhone 15 Pro series .
The new A20 Pro processor
Alongside the new iPhones, Apple also announced the A20 Pro processor, which will power the current iPhone 18 series and also the foldable iPhone. Apple says the A20 Pro is 30% faster in CPU tasks when compared to the A19 Pro, and 40% faster in GPU tasks.
Also, the new iPhone comes with a double Neural Engine with a total of 32 Neural Engine cores for better local on-device tasks. Apple says that the current iPhones are also compatible with running local AI tasks and AI models.
Upgraded Camera
Apple, for the first time, introduces a physical variable aperture on the main camera for both Pro and Max variants. Samsung did years ago. The new variable aperture, as you would expect, changes its size physically and automatically adjusts based on your camera settings and how much light it should pass to the camera sensor. And now, with the Pro-level settings on the camera app, you can finally adjust individual shutter speed, aperture, and more controls for more professional photography.
Better battery life
While the battery life isn’t a significant update compared to the iPhone 17 Pro, in terms of Apple’s numbers, the new iPhone 18 Pro can offer up to 34 hours of typical use with 43 hours of video playback. In comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro was claimed to have 31 hours of typical use and 37 hours of video playback.
New Black Color iPhone 18 Pro variant
After years, Apple has finally brought back the black color variant in the iPhone 18 Pro series. Now, both the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max are available in black, along with other variants.

Around $1 billion worth of Apple processors were reportedly waiting at TSMC for memory
The RAM shortage is not going well for Apple either.
According to the latest report, around $1 billion worth of Apple processors were reportedly waiting at TSMC for memory.
The upcoming iPhone 18 is to use Apple’s latest A20 processor; however, since Apple uses an SoC that combines a processor and RAM, more than $1 billion worth of processors are waiting at TSMC for RAM. This is already evident, and the upcoming iPhone 18 series is expected to have limited supply and higher costs. This is also the reason why Apple will push the preorder date for its first foldable iPhone by months.
More details about the iPhone Air 2
Apple is once again betting on thin and light phones with iPhone Air 2, but this time fixing all the issues that the original iPhone Air 1 has. Now, as per the leaked data, this time iPhone Air will come with a second 48MP Ultra Wide camera and also a smaller Dynamic Island, a 2nm A20 Pro, an N2 wireless chip, and a C2 modem. It is expected to retain a 6.5-inch display and 12GB RAM and launch in Q1 2027.
Analyst Jeff Pu estimates that iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max could cost $250-$300 more
While Apple is set to announce the price hike for existing iPhone models, according to the latest insight by Analyst Jeff Pu, he estimates that the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max could cost $250-$300 more because of the expensive 2nm silicon, DRAM, and NAND. It is already expected since existing phone prices are also expected to increase and Apple will launch the new iPhone with the increased prices. In that case, the iPhone prices could be around the $1,299-$1,399+ range this year. And not to mention the iPhone foldable phone, which is also expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 series. This device will cost a price of $2000 dollars.
iPhone 18 Pro could bring Apple's "biggest leap in camera hardware" in years

More details about upcoming iPhone 18 series from FPT
Apple has filed a lawsuit against him for leaking iOS 26, but he isn’t stopping. There isn’t any major new discovery. Almost all the details that we have previously reported
The biggest change this time is that Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro series is going to feature variable aperture functionality. He also says the performance details and other improvements are mostly a step up from the existing series. We are linking the video below. Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series will launch on September 8 or September 9
Most of us are aware that Apple usually launches the iPhone in September, and now we have a fresh date. According to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, he predicts that Apple will launch the iPhone 18 series on September 8 or September 9. This time, instead of the full iPhone lineup, we will only see the Pro variants, including the iPhone 18 and the 18 Pro Max. Additionally, the first-ever Apple foldable smartphone will be called the iPhone Ultra. Whereas the standard iPhone 18 and also iPhone Air 2 (successor to the original iPhone Air) will be launched in 2027 during the spring.
More details about the upcoming iPhone Air 2
At some point, many of us doubted the existence of the upcoming iPhone Air 2. However, a couple of days ago, many reports pointed out that Apple is working on the successor to the iPhone Air, the iPhone Air 2.
Now Jon Prosser, who is already facing legal action from Apple for leaking iOS 26 trade secrets, has now shared more details about the iPhone Air 2.
We have been reporting that Apple is going to use a split strategy this year. The iPhone Pro series, including the iPhone 18 Pro and Max, along with the first iPhone foldable (the iPhone Fold, or in other words, the iPhone Ultra), will be launched this year in September. The standard iPhone 18 and the iPhone Air 2 will launch in spring 2027.
In his latest iPhone video, Jon Prosser also claims that Apple is going to use a split strategy to launch its iPhones this time. He also offered some details about the upcoming iPhone Air 2, where Apple this time is going to bring dual cameras (48MP main lens and a 48MP ultra-wide lens) on the back, and also an improved battery, and will use a more efficient Apple Bionic A20, and might get a $50 price increase this time.

iPhone 18 Pro may use different modems by market
Apple may use a split modem strategy for the upcoming iPhone 18 series. According to the details obtained from the leaked Tata iPhone files in the recent security breach, Apple is expected to use a split modem strategy for the upcoming iPhone 18 series. The details reveal that the US-based iPhone 18 series will use Qualcomm modems, and the rest of the international models will use Apple’s own C2 modem. This is because the Apple C2 modem still doesn’t support mmWave 5G, whereas Qualcomm modems support it. Since U.S. carriers still use mmWave 5G, Apple will continue to use the Qualcomm modem in the US to cater to the needs.
For the rest of the international models where mmWave 5G is not a necessity, Apple will use its own C2 modems.
Huge Tata leak exposed iPhone 18 Pro supplier and component details
Tata Electronics, one of the leading iPhone manufacturers in India, has faced a cyberattack where details of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series have leaked and are available on the darknet. The leaked files reveal the iPhone 18 Pro component supply details, and also drop test photos and videos. Many people have started sharing those photos and videos online. Since it is a leak and Apple has already taken down those photos, we are not sharing those details here. But this is the biggest Apple iPhone leak ever, and Apple is also said to be investigating this data breach from Tata Electronics.
Here is the first look at the iPhone 18 series
Apple is set to launch the iPhone 18 series this year, and we have been tracking everything about these upcoming devices. And today, we got the first look at the dummy units of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series. As per the leak, the iPhone 18 Pro series will come in four variants, including Black, Silver, Dark Cherry, and Light Blue colors. You can look at the images below.
Apple is switching back to titanium for future iPhones
Apple switched to an aluminum chassis on the iPhone 17 series from titanium on the previous models. In an official press release, Apple said the switch to aluminum is mainly for better performance and called the aluminum chassis strong, lightweight, and thermally conductive. It seems like this shift isn’t going to last forever.
According to the latest post from Instant Digital, a reliable Apple leaker, Apple is going to use a titanium chassis for future iPhones. He stated that Apple hasn’t abandoned titanium and seems to be researching an improved version. He also mentioned that Apple is aiming to reduce its weight and address poor thermal conductivity, which are the two biggest plus points of aluminum.
The leak doesn’t reveal which iPhone models will get the titanium again. But the rumors suggest that Apple’s upcoming iPhone Ultra, which is the iPhone 4, is going to use the titanium chassis.

Yes, there will be no black color variant this year as well, as confirmed by previous reports. The report says the Dark Cherry is the standout one out of all four colors. What do you think? Which one do you like?

Don't expect any big design changes in the upcoming iPhone 18 series
Except for a smaller Dynamic Island, the new colors, and the improvements in the camera, there isn’t much going to change in the upcoming iPhone 18 series. For the past few months, we have been reporting that the upcoming iPhone 18 series will have a smaller Dynamic Island, which is 35% smaller than the current lineup, and it is confirmed by almost every leak so far. Additionally, the upcoming iPhone Pro series will have new color variants, including purple and brown, and also the new red color variant that was previously reported. And now, according to Leaker Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo, these changes will be evident, and we cannot expect more than these changes in the upcoming iPhone 18 series.
This might be our first look at the Dynamic Island on the upcoming iPhone 18 series
We previously reported that the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series will have a smaller Dynamic Island compared to the current lineup. Many popular leaks have already confirmed it. Now, the screen guard of the upcoming iPhone 18 series has surfaced online, giving us a glimpse of how it is going to look in real life. The source of this leak is currently unknown, but it points to all the leaks we have discussed previously. The upcoming iPhone 18 will surely feature the Dynamic Island, but this time it will be smaller compared to the current lineup.
Here is the launch timeline of the upcoming iPhone 18 series
We have been reporting that Apple is going to follow a new split launch timeline for the upcoming iPhone 18 series. And now the latest report has confirmed this. According to the latest report, Apple is going to announce the iPhone 18 Pro series this fall, along with a foldable iPhone. Then, in the late spring of 2027, Apple is going to announce the standard iPhone 18 along with the iPhone 18e and also the rumored iPhone 18 Air. However, the iPhone 18 series won’t come with significant changes. Apple has planned a bigger redesign for the iPhone 20 series, which is expected to be announced in the fall of 2027.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max will be slightly thicker and weighs about 240 grams
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max will be the heaviest iPhone Apple has ever made, according to Ice Universe. The popular leaker also claimed that Apple is still going to stick with the Dynamic Island, but now with a 35% smaller version.
Now, Ice Universe claims that the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max will measure 8.8 mm in thickness, which is a slight increase from the 8.75 mm thickness of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. He also states that the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max will weigh over 240 grams compared to the iPhone 17 Pro.
The reason for increasing the thickness and the weight is the increase in battery size. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to feature a 5,100-5,200 mAh battery size. While this isn’t a significant bump up from the previous iPhone 17 Pro Max, it is nice to see Apple is increasing the battery size with a slight increase in thickness, which most people will welcome.
This might be our first look at the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Dynamic Island
CAD renders of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro have surfaced online, revealing the front camera and Face ID setup on the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series.
Previously, it was rumored that the Apple iPhone 18 Pro would have a side punch hole camera and under-display Face ID. Another rumor suggests that Apple will use a smaller Dynamic Island that is 35% smaller than the current one, and now the new CAD render, which is from an unknown source, has confirmed a smaller Dynamic Island on the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Series.
We should know the full details in the coming days, but for now, Apple’s Dynamic Island is going to be different from the existing models. We will have to see how different it is going to be.
Apple’s Upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Might Also Come in a New Red Color Variant
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has shared a report claiming that Apple is internally testing a deep red finish color for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series.
He claims Apple will position red as a flagship color for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup. If this is true, along with the current bright orange color, we might also see the iPhone in red.
For those who are unaware, Apple previously used Red color for a charitable initiative; a percentage of each sale of the device is donated to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.
Apple iPhone 18 Series Will Feature a 24MP Front Camera

iPhone 18 Pro May Add a Teleconverter Option for Zoom Shots
Previously, we reported that the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series will feature a variable aperture that lets you control how much light reaches the sensor. Now, according to the latest leaks from Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the iPhone might also support a teleconverter. However, he claims that the teleconverter is under evaluation. For your information, many Android smartphones, such as the Vivo X100 Pro, the recently launched Oppo Find X9 series, and some Xiaomi smartphones, also support a teleconverter. You can mount a teleconverter directly to your smartphone for extra zoom options.
Apple May Keep iPhone 18 Prices Unchanged Despite Rising Component Costs
According to the latest report by Ming-Chi Kuo, who shares the latest leaks about the iPhone 18 series, Now claims that Apple may absorb the cost of rising components for the iPhone and keep the iPhone 18 series prices unchanged.
According to him, Apple has secured a quarterly deal for the supply of LPDDR RAM components, so despite the price increase throughout 2026, Apple may not be affected by the new prices. And also to be competitive, Apple might absorb any higher component prices to keep the iPhone prices stable and increase its market share.
So, going by the report, we can expect the iPhone 18 Series to be priced similarly to the iPhone 17 Series.
