Regarding my Account activity...

Greetings - long story short - someone (apparently) from China seems to be trying to Sync my Microsoft Live account. I had this problem a couple of months ago from America, but I changed my passwords and went through a whole security check. Since September is seemed to have stopped, but it's now started up again.
Is it common/uncommon for this sort of thing to happen? Is there any way Microsoft can ban the IP address (they all start with (240e:378:c01: )
I'm getting rather 1) annoyed this is happening and 2) worried that they won't stop until they get a successful sync. Even then, I'm not sure what it is they're trying to access... my email messages?
to try and remote desktop in? What specifically would them having a successful login, grant them access to? What usually is their goal? 0 comments No comments
One last follow up question though... what is it they're apparently trying to breach...
Are they trying to synchronise my email on a device so they can see what I have received and sent?
Are they trying to get my Windows login details (even though I use a PIN) to try and remote desktop in?
What specifically would them having a successful login, grant them access to? What usually is their goal?
Anonymous 2021-12-23T02:44:29+00:00 Damn... apparently the site tells me an old forum I used 5 years ago was breached. Never been on there since then, so that's where they got my data from. I only posted one time in the forum for a question, and after having rechecked the forum - I didn't even fill in any personal info (didn't have to). They only thing they got is my email address. Most of the steps you have suggested have already been done, so thank you for the help. 0 comments No comments
