Buying Windows keys
Windows product keys are the 25-character codes that activate a Windows version and edition on one computer. HypestKey stocks the full range, from Windows 11 and Windows 10 down to Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 for legacy machines. Every key is a genuine Microsoft key, emailed instantly after payment with activation steps, and no account is needed. Key takeaways
For a current PC, buy Windows 11: Home for personal use, Pro for BitLocker, Remote Desktop hosting and domain join. Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025; consumer ESU runs to October 12, 2027. Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 no longer get updates and suit legacy software only. One key activates one PC; Transferable and Single PC keys are separate products.
Which Windows version should you buy in 2026? Buy Windows 11 if the PC meets its hardware requirements, because it is the version Microsoft actively develops and patches. Choose Windows 10 only for hardware that cannot run Windows 11, and keep Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 for one legacy program or device. The table sums up where each version stands today.

The dates come from Microsoft’s lifecycle pages. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 follows its own long-term schedule, with extended support until January 9, 2029, which is why it is often chosen for fixed-purpose machines. Which Windows edition do you need: Home, Pro or Enterprise? Most home users are fine with Home. If you work from home, need drive encryption or want to reach the PC remotely, Pro is the better fit, and it is what we generally recommend for small offices. Enterprise is for organizations with an IT team that manages many PCs centrally. The differences are the same on Windows 11 and Windows 10.

Not sure between the first two? Our Windows 11 Home vs Pro guide compares them feature by feature. A Pro key also upgrades an activated Home installation in place, without a reinstall. Which Windows product keys does HypestKey stock? HypestKey stocks twelve Windows 11 and Windows 10 editions, two Windows 8 editions and three Windows 7 editions. Each product page states whether the key is Transferable, so it can move to a new PC after removal from the old one, or Single PC, so it stays with the computer it first activates. Both types are genuine. Windows 11 editions
Windows 11 Pro : the pick for professionals and power users, with Hyper-V, BitLocker, Remote Desktop hosting, Group Policy and domain join. Windows 11 Home : the core Windows 11 experience for personal use, with Microsoft Store apps and Windows Security. Windows 11 Enterprise : extra security and management tools for organizations that deploy many PCs. Windows 11 Pro for Workstations : Pro plus support for high-end hardware with more processors and memory. Windows 11 Home N and Windows 11 Pro N : the European versions without the built-in media apps.
Windows 10 editions
Windows 10 Pro : the long-running business standard, with BitLocker, Remote Desktop and domain networking. Windows 10 Home : a stable system for everyday home PCs. Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 : stronger security for company networks, with LTSC built for machines that should not change. Windows 10 Home N and Windows 10 Pro N : the N versions without media apps.
Older Windows versions For legacy software and older hardware we also keep Windows 8 Pro and Windows 8.1 Pro, plus Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate. Microsoft no longer patches these, so use them where you have a specific reason to, ideally offline or for one dedicated task. What does a PC need to run Windows 11? Windows 11 needs a compatible 64-bit processor with at least 2 cores at 1 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, UEFI firmware with Secure Boot capability, TPM 2.0 and a DirectX 12 graphics card with a WDDM 2.0 driver. Secure Boot must be supported, though it does not have to be switched on. Microsoft lists the full set on its Windows 11 system requirements page . The PC Health Check app tells you in a minute whether a machine qualifies. Typically, a processor missing from Microsoft’s approved CPU list or a disabled TPM is the reason a PC fails; older machines usually stay on Windows 10 with ESU or move to new hardware.
Note: Windows 10 keeps working after October 14, 2025, but without ESU it gets no security fixes. If the hardware passes the check, install Windows 11 today rather than later.
How do delivery and activation work? The key is emailed instantly after payment, and no account is needed: the order email contains the product key, activation steps and the official Microsoft download link. For a clean install you create a bootable USB drive from Microsoft’s site; on a running system you change the key in Settings, and Windows validates it with Microsoft online.
Pick the version and edition, then pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. Open the order email and copy the 25-character key. On Windows 11, open Settings > System > Activation. On Windows 10, open Settings > Update & Security > Activation. Select “Change product key”, type the key and confirm.
Activation usually completes right away. If an error code appears, our guide to fixing Windows 11 activation errors lists the common causes. Something went wrong? We’ll help you fix it, or we send a replacement key. Can you buy Windows keys for several PCs? Yes. Add the quantity you need to the cart and every key arrives in the same order email. That works well for small offices, schools and IT providers who set up several machines at once. Each key still follows Microsoft’s licensing terms: one key, one computer, and each PC needs its own license. For larger orders or a custom quote, email support@hypestkey.com with the edition and the number of licenses. In most cases mixed orders are fine too, for example Windows 11 Pro for office desktops and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 for a kiosk or a production line. Why buy Windows product keys from HypestKey? HypestKey is a trusted reseller with genuine keys. Since 2020 the store has delivered more than 30,000 Microsoft licenses by email. Every Windows key activates online through Microsoft’s own servers, with no scripts, loaders or other workarounds, and the HypestKey support team answers by email and live chat.
Genuine Microsoft keys : activation runs through Microsoft, the same way as a boxed copy. Instant delivery : the key is emailed right after payment, worldwide, with no account to create. Secure payment : card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe; card details never reach our servers, and no fees are added at checkout. Help with activation : write to support@hypestkey.com or open the live chat. If a key does not activate, we help you fix it or send a replacement.
Our team handles questions about keys and activation. For questions about Windows features themselves, Microsoft Support is the right place. How do you choose the right Windows key? Start with the hardware, then the job. A PC that passes the Windows 11 check gets Windows 11 Home or Pro. A machine that fails it gets Windows 10, ideally with ESU. Legacy equipment that needs one old program gets Windows 8.1 or Windows 7. Then pick Home, Pro or Enterprise with the edition table above. A properly licensed system keeps receiving the updates Microsoft releases for it, which matters for both stability and security. Browse the editions above, or go straight to Windows 11 keys or Windows 10 keys .
Windows 11, if the PC passes the PC Health Check. Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025, and consumer ESU runs only to October 12, 2027. Pick Windows 10 when the hardware cannot run Windows 11.
Home covers browsing, games, school and office apps. Pro adds BitLocker, Remote Desktop hosting, Hyper-V, Group Policy and domain join, so it suits remote work, small offices and anyone who encrypts a laptop.
Yes. On an activated Home installation open Settings, go to Activation, choose "Change product key" and enter a Pro key of the same version. Windows switches to Pro without a reinstall, and files stay in place.
A Transferable key can move to a new computer after you remove it from the old one. A Single PC key stays with the computer it first activates. Each product page states which type you are buying.
No. One key activates one PC under Microsoft's terms. For an office, add the number of keys you need to the cart and they arrive together in one order email.
N editions are the European versions of Windows without the built-in media apps, such as Media Player. They have the same features otherwise, and you can add the Media Feature Pack from Microsoft if you need it.
